I teach the way I'd want my own
child to be taught

I'm a native English speaker from the UK. I have taught children for nine years, and I still love a small win.

My story

One child, one plan, every lesson

I'm a native English speaker from the UK. I have spent much of my life in Thailand. Over nine years I have taught children of all ages, online and in person. I also volunteered with the younger years at a daycare in Bangkok. I have a bachelors degree in education, and I am TESOL certified.

In a full class I kept seeing the same thing. The quiet children, and the ones who found it hard, got missed. They needed a little more time, or a different explanation, or simply for someone to notice them.

So I started Teacher Tash. One child at a time, at their pace. I am patient and kind, and I believe a happy, encouraging lesson is what makes a child want to do well. I still feel it every time a child reads a full sentence for the first time, or writes a story they are proud of.

I love teaching English, and I look forward to meeting you soon.

Degree in education, TESOL certified

A bachelors degree in education, plus TESOL certification. These are the qualifications for teaching English to children who are learning it as a second language. Nine years of it, online and in person.

One child, one lesson

Never a class. Your child gets the whole hour, and I plan the next one around what happened in the last one.

At their pace

A child who needs longer gets longer, and one who is flying gets stretched. Nobody is dragged along behind a syllabus.

My approach

Four things I'll never compromise on

Kindness first, always

Children can't learn when they're anxious. Every lesson starts with a smile, ends with a win, and never with shame or pressure.

Learning through play

Games, silly sentences, favourite characters and real curiosity. When it's fun, it sticks, and children ask for more.

One plan, one child

No off-the-shelf programmes. I design every lesson around your child's level, interests and the exact next step they need.

Honest, regular updates

You'll always know how it's going. Clear, simple progress reports after each block. Never vague reassurance.

A lesson in progress
What a lesson looks like

A lesson that flies by

Every lesson follows a gentle rhythm that keeps children interested without tiring them out. Short, varied parts, with movement and play built in.

  • Hello and warm-up: a quick game or chat to settle in and smile
  • The main activity: reading, writing or phonics, tailored to the plan
  • A fun twist: a game, story or creative challenge using what we learned
  • Proud finish: celebrate a win, set a tiny challenge for next time

Choose 25-minute lessons for younger children, or 50-minute lessons for older children.

Come and say hello

The best way to know if we're a good fit is to try it. Your child's first lesson is on me.
