If you are unsure as to whether your student can obtain some or any of the necessary supplies please contact Mrs. Jenkins prior to the second week of school.
TARDY POLICY CELL PHONE POLICY MAKE-UP WORK POLICY A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

When you are late you are wasting someone's time; this holds true in the educational environment as well as in society.

Any student who reports to Mrs. Jenkins' classroom tardy is required to serve five minutes (per tardy) before or after school to make up for the time they have wasted.

Students are required to serve the tardy time prior to 3:30p on Friday for any tardies accrued that week. If students do not serve their time before the specified time their names will be referred to the office and they will receive a one hour detention.

As per the OHS Handbook:

If cellular devices must be brought to school, they are to remain off and in your locker throughout the school day. Students caught violating this policy will be expected to surrender their cell phone to the school personell who witnesses the violation.

Any devices that combine phone, music, internet, etc. will be considered a phone and are subject to the above policy.

Phones will only be returned to the parent of the student.

It is the responsibility of the student to obtain work missed when absent from school.

Each day's activities will be listed in the 'What Did I Miss' Notebook. This notebook is availible in the classroom and is updated on a daily basis.

Students who are absent MUST turn in any missed assignments/projects within three days of returning from the specified absence.

Please make every effort possible to arrange with me beforehand if you know you are going to miss one or more class periods.

Mrs. Jenkins' goal is to enhance content in order to make history as fun and hands-on as possible, while also connecting the past to the present and future.

Rules and policies are necessary to ensure that the classroom provides an environment where this goal can become a reality.

  • Mrs. Jenkins' classroom assignments are required to be in MLA format unless otherwise specified.
  • Mrs. Jenkins understands that specific circumstances sometimes interfere with the school day and/or classroom setting. If you have any concerns or if situations arise, PLEASE contact me before or after class.
