REAL TO REEL HISTORY

COURSE OVERVIEW

The focus of this course is to expose students to important elements of the social sciences they otherwise might not explore.

Within the classroom environment, emphasis will be placed on understanding the manipulation of history by the film industry, analyzing historical information and comprehending film's historical and social significance. Students will spend time researching the historical basis and analyzing a variety of films. Because of the nature of this class, regular attendance will be crucial.
